has old pixes stuff always been available on UK itunes, or is this actually 'new' news? cause the article is pretty vague and i have never looked at the site.

Posted - 07/27/2004 : 01:13:36 Still can't think of any reason to buy alums from iTunes (exclusives, yes, b-sides, yes, but whole albums? rather spend a £1 more and get the CD, even though I haven't used a CD in 2 years as all my music goes straight onto my iBook/iPod).

Posted - 07/26/2004 : 10:10:12 we're talking iTunes in Europe - the US was sorted out a long time ago - it was the UK side of things - but it is all sorted out now.... |

Posted - 07/26/2004 : 09:37:50 Don't know if we are talking just the UK iTunes or what, but I am pretty sure you can get any of the Pixies releases on iTunes (If you're in the states)
From Come on Pilgrim to Bam Thwok, I think it's all there. Purple tape, EP's, the whole nine yards, errrr meters. |

Posted - 07/26/2004 : 09:37:14 I just want to say that after heading to emusic, and being directed to their free trial page, they can bog right off cause it made my browser crash. boo! |

Posted - 07/26/2004 : 09:00:50 Can I suggest going to emusic.com - they have all the "archival" releases there already (including the purple tape) - and they are a damn site cheaper than apple!

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 07:10:07 I'm just saying why it might say 'archive', instead of, not saying so. I assumed the ""archival"" in the subject and "has old pixes stuff always been available on UK itunes, or is this actually 'new' news?" was quasi-questioning this....which, I would say it was.

Your point being? As of yesterday the Indies (at least 4AD) had signed the contract, so they should be now.

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 06:24:29 Only it isn't... well wasn't last night when I checked. Surely though (although not applicable in the Pixies' case do to the Complete B-Sides LP) the really good use of iTunes should be to be able to get bands' b-sides. Only most of the time they don't put them up there, which is frankly daft.
