Neil Young's "the losing end"
I went into town to see you yesterday but you were not home. So I talked to some old friends for a while before I wandered off alone.
It's so hard for me now But I'll make it somehow, Though I know I'll never be the same. Won't you ever change your ways, It's so hard to make love pay When you're on the losing end, And I feel that way again.
Well, I miss you more than ever, since you've gone I can hardly maintain. Things are different round here every night, my tears fall down like rain.
It's so hard for me now But I'll make it somehow, Though I know I'll never be the same. Won't you ever change your ways, It's so hard to make love pay When you're on the losing end, And I feel that way again.

Did you really think LBF's post was funny, or did you crack-back on your mother just because you did not have enough backbone to tell LBF what you really thought of his post...
As I read this, I was somewhat embarrassed for you....

Nad-eer. Funny that we're talking about the angle of the dangle and a word beginning with 'nad' is the first one to come to mind.

and i was joking about my mother, whom i love dearly (and whom i bear a great resemblance to - much more than my father, whom i also love dearly). in fact, just now i am making a phone call to get her a dog for christmas. i'm not joking. however, calling her a bitch was a joke, because andy made a 'mom' joke first.
i'm staying out of this pissing contest, but i do find it funny that in this thread it is me who is felt sorry for.

Posted - 12/05/2005 : 20:11:23 Well, I found some of it interesting and amusing and funny in most cases. Some of the post aka the director re-write section requested was a good one to request to have written a re write.
Sorry if this offended people or creeped people out or people took it seriously. I think some of the more tastess commments were ignored and the thread kept going despite those comments and sort of well ignore those comments. I thought it was just an creative silly diversion and a way to keep some life flowing through what was once an active forum.
I think OMIACC and I were just tryin' to have a good time. Brian, sorry you see this thread as the nadir of this whole forum.
OMIACC, since I guess our attempt at "screen writing" if you could call it that was so bad, I guess we should stick to our day jobs.
So die your death, thread, and make it quick! And then live in internet history as the worst or second to worse thread ever.

Posted - 12/05/2005 : 16:20:17 Hey Cheeseman1000,
I'll say it again, I was surprised and offended at the comments "that this was the stupidest thread on the internet and no wonder Frank doesn't come around anymore" and "that my posts were creepy" and "this thread is the nadir of this forum"...and I acted accordingly...
I'll probably react the same way next time someone criticizes my posts...
And if you, or dayanara, or starmekitten, or Brian, or anyone else, don't like some of my posts then go ahead, post your displeasure and we can certainly discuss it.
Or you may just want to skip it, do your own thing and quit trying to be the Thought Police or the Posting Police, or some other censoring body.
But you can certainly jump right in and criticize my posts if you prefer...it's your choice really.

As for me, I say FUCK THE RUDE PEOPLE THAT CAN'T KEEP THEIR IRRELEVANT, ARROGANT AND UNSOLICITED RUDE COMMENTS TO THEMSELVES, just don't read the thread if you don't like it, but there is no reason to be rude...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I suppose you didn't call out anyone specifically. I think you've responded to a couple of people expressing their opinions in a totally inordinate and excessive manner. Let's turn things round about here: if you can't deal with people saying things like these, maybe you shouldn't be posting here. Maybe it's not a matter of they can't deal with you, maybe it's a matter of you can't deal with them.
You're always going to get people who are intentionally rude, and possibly they have their own reasons for that. However, the vast majority of people who've contributed to this thread since it descended into argument have not been in any way rude - in fact, they're explaining and discussing your posts as you've invited them to do.
We both have the priviledge of being able to freely express our own opinions. Therefore, I don't think it's right for you to suggest (which you are essentially doing) that if we don't like what you're posting in a thread then we shouldn't post there, because it's our priviledge to do so. I don't think it's right for you to insinuate left, right and centre that people are being rude to you, when they clearly aren't.
Maybe we should just draw a line under it, and let this thread get back to it's original course. If you feel it's right to start a thread in General Frank Black chat along the same lines, no one will prevent you from doing so. If you wish to continue debating sharing a bed with Frank Black here, or what ever you might wish to discuss, then please feel free to do so. Just don't take offence if other people take offence; I'm sure you can understand that the tone and direction this thread was taking would be considered unusual and possibly even offensive to some.

Posted - 12/05/2005 : 15:29:05 Hey Man, Whatever, this whole thing started when daynara posted that this thread was "the stupidest thread on the internet, and no wonder Frank doesn't post here anymore" and then Starmekitten posted that the thread was creepy.
I took offense to their comments about my posts and I've tried to defend my posts based on the tenet that there are "different strokes for different folks" and if you don't like what I'm posting, then you don't have to be rude about, simply don't read my posts...
I mean none of my posts called anyone out, or started any shit with anyone...
I was surprised and offended at their comments and I acted accordingly...

If you don't like what I'm posting, then tell me about it if you please, but if you comment on the quality of my posts be prepared to explain and discuss you comments.
That's all I saying. Live and Let Live. Don't be rude and posts in threads for the sole purpose of telling that person some negative comment about their post, I mean you can, but why would you do it?
Do these last two paragraphs not contradict each other? A) If I'm prepared to explain myself I can comment on the quality of your posts. B) Don't post something solely negative.
If I have nothing positive to say about your posts, and yet I feel compelled to state my opinion then I'm screwed right? Because I'm going to post solely negative things. Now, thanks for your permission, there: I can explain myself, which is why I would do it.
I have nothing positive to say about your posts in the former part of this thread. And yet, I've made my opinion known in support of someone I feel you've treated unfairly, and in doing so I felt it required expressing solidarity with Brian by agreeing with him on your posts - which I do.
I'm not trying to "be rude", I'm merely explaining my position with respect to why I'm defending Brian, why I think you've taken a strange and unneccessary attitude, and why I don't feel you've done yourself any favours in trying to justify this attitude. If you'd like me to express my opinions on your posts, I'm happy to do that: I'm prepared to explain and discuss.
