Posted - 08/25/2004 : 07:48:51 i've noticed on this tour that for each show the Pixies either do Subbacultcha or U-Mass but never both in the same set (unless someone can prove me wrong), iv'e seen them play U-Mass 3 times now, but never Subbacultcha. I think U-Mass is the stronger song though.. |

Posted - 08/25/2004 : 13:44:28 "U-Mass" is pretty catchy ("IT'S EDUCATIONAL!"), but I think "Subbacultcha" is the better song.
There are several songs on Trompe that I'd rather hear than either one of those, though.

Posted - 08/25/2004 : 13:36:25 they played both at UC Davis, California.
I personally like Subbacultcha more...U-Mass rocks, but its a tad repetitive. both are killer little songs, though. |

Posted - 08/25/2004 : 12:55:50 The song originally was the way you've written it. It was switched for the record. He decided to switch it back. I do like it better on the record than switched.

Posted - 08/25/2004 : 12:17:43 I like the original/BBC versions of Subbacultcha better than the TLM version.
The switching of "This is a song about something there/there's something about this song" is sooo dumb. Sorry frank, but the original way is the most brilliant line EVER.
So Im headed for the stereo store, to get a white noise maker, and turn it up to ten. |

Posted - 08/25/2004 : 07:51:55 They did play both in Paris on June 14th, along with Head On, Planet Of Sound, Winterlong, Blown Away and Is She Weird. And I wasn't there. Fuck.
And Subbacultcha is the best song of the 2, even if I love U-Mass too. In fact Subbacultcha is the fucking greatest song ever.
