Posted - 06/06/2004 : 14:50:20 I just downloaded the bridge version of Subbaculcha from the FTP and basically it is beautiful. I think the bit that was left out for TLM was made into D=RT but for me, D=RT is the weakest song Pixies have ever done and Subbacultcha is only good when there is so much potential for it to be legendary. On the version I downloaded there is a lot more variation and dynamic to the song and the lyric "We're heavenly, aaaaah" (Is this correct?) is a real hook that stays in your head for ages.
Does anyone else feel the same way?

Posted - 06/06/2004 : 16:26:47 yeah its a treat to play along to. the songs on the purple tape/cd and was a nice surprise when i first listened to it. it always fascinates me when you here riffs from songs making up another. i read on this forum frank chops and mashes his riffs together like this to create his art.
dog in the sand has been turned into a beautiful song (in my opinion) from the long instrumental off the hang on to your ego single. genius.
