I have no idea though.

Are you referring to the "ah's" after the "now I'm gonna sing the theme to Perry Mason" line? Those "ah's" are the Perry Mason theme, however it's a wrong rendition. I always loved that part.
Just during some of the verses, I think!

I think it's "See bones, see bones, see bones, see bones..." Could be completely wrong, of course. |

Posted - 09/02/2007 : 17:18:31 Actually I've been listening to a few live versions of U-Mass recently and I can definitely hear that bass part in some of the reunion shows. I still think it sounds better on Trompe though.

Does anyone else hear it?
I always wondered about that bit too.

Posted - 06/22/2007 : 00:06:05 I love that bit. I played bass in a band many years ago and ripped it off for one of our songs. |

Posted - 06/06/2007 : 12:24:08 I hear it...and I love it! It sounds, er, funky! I've always liked that bass part for some reason.
I can't say I've ever felt anything on the album is 'anti-Kim Deal' though, even if there were tensions between the band at the time. Maybe because most of the stuff was recorded without the rest of the band it sounds different, didn't they all do their parts seperately on Trompe?
