Posted - 05/28/2006 : 06:34:59 As some of you may already know... The story goes that PIXIES rehearsed Apache for Bossanova [as their ode to surf music] but in the end decided to cover Cecilia Ann instead.
I think CA works quite well as the opening track, but I keep thinking maybe Apache with a PIXIES spin may have been better, or just as good anyway.
I don't believe it was ever recorded, but what are the chances a rehearsal/demo recording was made? Could there be one under Gil Norton's bed?
