billgoodman: no, the 581 refers to it's ranking, #1 being amazon's #1 top selling album. So doolittle (at that point) was their 581st best selling album. make sense? if not, you don't get a refund but we do have some lovely parting gifts for our audience. |

Also: sales rankings on the Amazon website are interesting to look at.
Doolittle (best selling Pixies album): #581
Show Me Your Tears (best selling FB album next to TOTY): #1162
Of course, those figures fluctuate often. |

Yeah, but that was according to SoundScan. Independent retailers (places where Frank sells most of his albums) don't normally use SoundScan, do they? Just a thought. |

I read he only sold about 16,000+ copies of Show Me Your Tears recently. |
