Posted - 09/14/2011 : 11:52:39 Memory fading on this one.. does anyone remember much about this song? As it was part of the Bluefinger release on iTunes - did it actually have anything to do with Herman Brood or the Bluefinger sessions? Lyrically I'm not sure but the recording/instrumentation sounds like it could have been from the same session, maybe.
Get Away Oil I think was just a demo version and unrelated, while Virginia Reel sounded like prototype Grand Duchy or a GD demo/outtake to me.

Frank just had a shite load of songs pouring out of him. 2007 was fun when I look back on it. |

Posted - 09/30/2011 : 14:34:12 Not sure how relevant this is, but are Polly's Into Me and Virginia Reel the tracks posted on the 1st version of blackfrancis.net (the one with the orange background and PC)? Before the iTunes release? Before Bluefinger?
Again, i'm not sure of dates to work it out. |

It's been said before but this sounds like a total Catholics song.

I remember sitting in a basement listening to Fields of Marigold until I passed out.
