(Excuse my ignorance of the correct terms, I wasn't an English major.) BUT the locals in New Llano, Louisiana, the relocation of the new utopian vision of the old Llano, pronouce their town name with a hard "L", like "lucky" or "loose". I know, I've been there. And New Llano is SOOO far from being some utopian ideal it's sad... So what does this all mean? Not a thing. But I do wonder how the original name was pronounced. |
