If you went away, called it all a day, say that it was through

'Cause a new man or an old friend or a guru

'Cause you got a bit tired of me now

That I could believe

Yeah but if you do

If you leave, if you leave, if you leave, if you leave

Wouldn’t even cry, wouldn’t even try, wouldn’t even stew
Wouldn’t look for another love, no

Listen if you leave, tell you what I do

If you leave .... I will run after you ...

I can't even believe or begin to express the intense excellence of this song, which resonates more and more in my soul with each passing day.

Sorry to go off-topic.

Song good. Frank great.

I am shocked, K.

Now, on to the topic of this thread...

I love this song and it was an instant favorite for me.

It's not you I don't like

one of the best songs ever written and recorded, IMHO, both emotionally and artistically

Same thing here. I never felt this way before, so in love, and this song brings out all kinds of unwarranted, pre-emptive freakiness.

Did you hook up with one of the vegans?

This song doesn't remind me of any exes, but gives me the creeps thinking about if my wife were ever to leave me. I don't like those thoughts, but i love this song.

I do toggle back and forth as to which version is my favorite. BLD or SSMVGD?

it makes me think of my ex too. that is, the ex who broke up with around the time i first got a copy of the SSMVGD version of this song.

the BLD version makes me think of a different ex

A question for the ages.

I agree with you kathryn! "I Will Run After You" has always been a favorite. It's like a drug! I remember listening to it 20+ times in a row (no joke) because I got a sort of "high" from the emotional response it caused in me. BLD/DW has a lot of those types of songs for me... =)

See, I always respected it. And over the years it has come to really resonate within my very being. I've come to understand What Frank Is Talking About. I now appreciate its wisdom. It amazes me how his music keeps doing that. You think you have figured something out and then - blam! Whole new level.

Black Letter Days for me. I like the two guitars in the intro.

This is another of my favourites, one of my favourites to play too. It's hard to describe how much I love this song, so I won't bother.

And very strong stuff.

I will run after you is not a track on Show Me Your Tears
Glue you said?

I had an odd experience this week listening to
Show Me Your Tears, I said to myself "Self, there
must be harder rockin' versions of these songs
that you have heard." And then I listened through
again and decided I'd been sniffing too much glue.
The album has quiet power.

And this song is very strong.
Intense! Yes, that is the correct word.

In direct contrast to "If you ever need, don't call?"
