Posted - 09/23/2006 : 13:35:24 Hi there, I'm a big Pixies fan, and although I don't intend to make my home here, I was wondering if anyone had some Frank related answers for me?
Basically I keep noticing Lou Reed references in Frank's work, and I was wondering how much other people saw. What's the story there? And I'm not just talking about "I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed".

Haha, that's awesome considering Frank wrote about this song "Trying to be Lou" in the Oddballs liner notes. Guess he pulled it off.

Posted - 09/23/2006 : 16:31:24 It's not really a reference, but when my mother first heard Jumping Beans she had to be talked out of the belief that it was a duet with Lou singing the verses.
I can't say I notice all that many direct references to Lou Reed in Frank's songs, but I only have a passing familiarity with him and the Velvet Underground. What are some of the other examples you're talking about?
