Posted - 07/07/2006 : 07:34:45 I'm so in love with this song. Didn't care at all at first listen but it has grown on me a lot and it's turned into my fave song from FMRM. Sooo nice to sing along to. It's on par with The Swimmer IMO. Who plays the drums on it? I wish Frank would tour with the band that plays on the song, everything sounds great on it. Anyway. Just wanted to express my love.

Posted - 07/28/2006 : 05:27:18 I had my first Bohemia last night. It's indeed good stuff. Mexican beers are clean and crisp, without a lot of heavy taste. Perfect in hot weather.

Posted - 07/26/2006 : 11:30:52 We're all idiots sometimes. Take me, for example: I still can't figure out if Bohemia is beer, water, or both. Frank sings that "that's the best water I ever had." But I keep hearing about Bohemia beer, and can't find any reference to Bohemia water. Can anyone help?

Have you been to Globe, AZ?

ah. the el rey cafe. the original one. that's where I had my first Bohemia. Been there 2 or 3 times. And Miami.
That's why I said jtanner inspired the song. Now, why he asked Frank about the El Rey Cafe still escapes me.

Posted - 07/15/2006 : 15:11:49 Definitely Floop! Whoever's car it is should decide what music is played. I mean, of course it's nice to let someone else play what they want now and then but for the most part the driver is in command of the stereo.
P.S. Does anyone else love "I Will Run After You" as much as I do? |

Posted - 07/15/2006 : 10:04:49 i'm still trying to get LBF's mom to like FB. she hates it.
my feeling is: if we're sitting in my car (behind 7-11), we listen to what I want to listen to. if we're in your car, you can decide. know what i mean?

Posted - 07/15/2006 : 09:51:30 Whenever I play my mom a Frank Black album, I warn her that she probably won't like it the first few times she hears it. At around listen number 4 or 5, she usually recognizes the greatness. |

Posted - 07/14/2006 : 08:39:46 I agree cassandra is. For me, it's typical of the kind of Frank Black song which I don't care for at first but then grows on a motherfucka. |
jtanner |
Posted - 07/13/2006 : 21:19:24 It really is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. And I'm not just saying that because I inspired Frank to write it. |

This song is awesome. It's very close to being my favorite of the entire 27. First thing I've listened to at the office every morning since I got the album, because it gets stuck in my head on the ride over since I see a sign for "Manchester" (MA).

Posted - 07/08/2006 : 12:13:47 I hated it first, but now it's one of my favoutites. But what the hell is that talking about? Visiting Morrissey in Manchester? Trying to chart in england?? A good mineral water??? I allways thought that song was made at the end of the song marathon, when Frank would turn sleepwalker and continue to play... |

Posted - 07/07/2006 : 07:54:03 It took a while too to love that song, but now I really appreciate it. The singing is great and the vocal melody too. It sounds like a classic (but isn't it the case of most of the songs from this album?) Very good song indeed, although it's not part of my top 5 from the disc 2.
