Posted - 04/03/2005 : 02:59:18 You can hypnotize me later And we’ll sail into the heavens And our love will be the leaven As we dance among the craters But if I should leave this state Well, there’s nothing you can do My dear you cannot soothe This old heartache
So let’s go to Barcelona We will be noted for our absence Deep in ocean blues of absinthe Making love in our coronas But please know for your own sake That I can be a moody guy For years I cannot quiet This old heartache

I "do this just to"
• try to help out the forum, by perhaps adding something useful to the database • express my love of The Man's music
Got a problem?

TRANSMARINE |
Posted - 04/04/2005 : 10:10:30 This is a very interesting song, however I can't help but cringe towards the end during the repeat of "you can hypnotize...dance among the craters" as the timing seems to get completely sloppy. The guitars don't mesh with the percussion, and Frank seems to be scrambling to hear which section has the correct timing to follow. Does anyone else notice this?

Posted - 04/03/2005 : 18:38:09 yes you'll get your kitty and no, these threads aren't about the posts, the song database is in desperate need of updating so these threads are for people to give their thoughts and opinions, on the song, any insight on meanings contained within the song and any relevant quotes from the man himself about said song, there's been a few now only on SMYT so far but they've been pretty good. As soon as one doesn't get posted in for a while I start a new one.
it's a collective update and has kicked out quite a lot of good stuff, if you check out the other threads I've started with SMYT titles in this section you'll see what I mean.

Posted - 04/03/2005 : 11:19:39 Sigh! Such a romantic song. Very Spanish in its mood and references, not just the obvious (Barcelona) but absinthe and the tempo of the music.
P.S. The Catholics are noted for their absence.
