Posted - 12/28/2004 : 14:01:28 I've always written it as Frank Black and the Catholics, but I've also seen it as Frank Black & The Catholics, or Frank Black and The Catholics. Which one is correct? I've always assumed the band was simply known as Catholics, so adding a the is simply for aesthetics (like the Pixies).
iTunes has it down as Frank Black & The Catholics, though.

Posted - 01/04/2005 : 07:05:54 If I remember well, there once was one of the catholics who used to post here (who was it? Rich?), and Dave gave him a title of "Catholic" and he asked that the uppercase was removed ("catholic" then). I don't remember the exact details though.

Plain Pixies is just fine Aurora.
But it does get confusing when writing Pixies into a sentence. Sometimes it's grammatically correct to place a 'the' before the word.
yeah like you would say, i'm listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, even there is no the in their name. probably :S |

With the lower-case "the"?
