The proper Doggerel tour, hopefully!

Roundhouse in March for London, much better than Ally Pally.

Delighted to see another Cardiff show, though I'll be going to Birmingham the night before too. Much smaller venue!

Can we shed some light on the venues? I mean one of the Dutch shows is in a seated theatre.
Sitting down and enjoying the Pixies? That will be a first for me?

More breezy surf songs? Acoustic stuff?

4 shows in The New UK - hope they also add some shows to Scotland and Northern Ireland/Ireland - although I doubt I'll be hitting any of them because they tickets will probably be like £40 upwards

I think that's probably an exception - they'll take the chairs out downstairs, won't they? UK are all standing, London is 3000ish capacity.

Columbiahalle has always been pretty grim when I've been - oversold and v static crowd.

Hoping for all of Doggerel and refreshed back catalog selection...
Have managed to avoid hearing any Doggerel except Moon, keeping it fresh!

Edinburgh Playhouse has always been a great venue to see bands (even though it's seated) Great if you can bag front row (like I did for Judas Priest/Annihilator) in 1991

Standing always better though - seated gigs are for old people going to see orchestras and stuff

I do feel old, and I like to sit down (even in my 20's)
But there should be some people standing to mosh around a bit
Even though I'm not one of them

Off to the side and leaning on the barrier works for me - Pixies mosh pits carry a little extra timber these days..

A Pixies mosh pit cost me nearly a full 1.0 gig in 1991

That said - I was one of the participating moshers that time

Olympia in Paris, same venue as 2019 & 2013. About 2,500 capacity with a fairly good sound. The other usual venue (Zenith) is utterly shitty so it's not too bad.

I cracked/bruised a rib in the mosh pit in Rouen last june, it hurt for a few weeks but it was worth it :)

I was there! I did both shows back then. Yeah it's larger than the venues I usually go to but it's nice really. Also the Fontaines DC gig last April in there was just crazy. Caught covid though

I'm fine thanks. I basically go to shows to get hurt anyway, you know, let off some steam...

Yeah interesting they omitted Ireland completely. Wonder if Brexit impacted their decision, maybe it's more costly now to shift their gear around.

Presumably skipping them since they did a few shows in Ireland over the summer, plus Scotland and the north east.

Cardiff gets a second hit, but the 6Music Festival show in April was a much shorter set (55mins tops).

Their UK dates were an inconsistent mess this year, felt like they were filling calendar slots with whatever was available. Manchester did OK, I guess..

A good many of this year's were/are long rescheduled dates, which goes some way to explaining the pattern.

That was relatively painless, London showing limited availability for both nights on the Roundhouse site so probably best not to dally too long.

Stockholm setlist looks good. A few more Doggerel songs making the cut - Haunted House, Nomatterday, Thunder & Lightning and the title track.

8 songs of Doggerel, very nice!

No Bossanova or Beneath the Eyrie though
(No HC or IC either)

I would lose some of the 10 Doolittle tracks

Pagan Man, Sadducee, Dregs of the Wine, and Get Simulated made their live debuts last night in Oslo. Looks like they played every song from the album last night. Very cool.

Great news

It looks like the setlist has been edited since - no longer see Sadducee on there.
