Thomas, I didn't think the passing of Ray Bradbury could be made funny in any way. That was good, though. |

George, the tortoise has died. i think there is something human about living so long in the same house. This creature was older than my gran who died just over two years ago at the age of nearly 91. In this photograph it has the same old eyes, I'm at the end of my life and I know that and I can't do anything about it, let's see if there is anything beyond this. I think it is a sense that you grow into as you reach the end of your life, when you know it really is the end inside you.
A species that lives longer than we do, and well may out survive our collective skills in adapting to climate change.

Used to like Airwolf, it was like Knight Rider but with a talking black helicopter (cf. also StreetHawk)
Used to like the commodore 64 game as well, although I could never get very far in it because it was so hard, so don't really know what the purpose of the game play was meant to be

And Tony Scott, brother of Ridley Scott just killed himself by jumping from a bridge? Weird, because there is that scene at the start of Prometheus where the alien guy dies by drinking this black stuff and falling into a waterfall. |

Bit weird because it just reminded of a dream I had last night. I dreamt that I went to the moon, or was about to go to the moon. One of them really fucked up loads of crazy things happening that seem to make perfect sense at the time. I was planning on going to the moon and coming back in two days, but then I realised it would take longer because I would have to fly out to NASA first. I was on the moon at one point as well, inside some kind of hut, and you could breath. |

He looks peaceful. I've only just read about Shankar's death on another site and wanted to post this
Sir Patrick, what can I say? Goodbye and goodnight. |

I almost feel bad for writing this, but I sometimes see burly middle-aged guys and think, "I'll bet he has high blood pressure" or "That guy looks ripe for a heart attack." Gandolfini was just that sort of guy. |

I would rather spend a few minutes in agony with no one to blame but myself than grow old and wind up in a nursing home. Anybody been inside one of those lately? They are sad at best and in many cases discustiing and cruel. A heart attack while vacationing in Rome? again, not a bad way to go. |

Has what, Death? You can't catch death, it's just something that happens. there are a lot of famous musicians out there now who are about to it as well. Some of them will be headline news for days, unless another school in Pakistan gets droned by mistake in which case that will obviously be the main news. |

Thanks for the lecture about death. I had no idea. But that doesn't change the fact that Wilko Johnson has cancer. |
