Nice article, though I'd have to call out this quote - 'David Bowie called the album, which went Gold on both sides of the Atlantic, “the most compelling music outside of Sonic Youth made in the entire 80s' - he never said that of Surfer Rosa, he said that of the band.
Maybe that only includes CoP, Surfer and Doolittle (being in the 80s) but it's not exclusive to Surfer Rosa - another example of so called music journos using quotes to prove the point they're trying to make.
But I do like the article overall and thanks for posting Bedbug! |

| The irritation I get when people use acronyms as if they are self-explanatory and the most universal thing in the world when they are nothing farther from that knows no bounds. I still don't know what WIMM is. I see this sort of thing all the time on the internet and it really pushes a specific button, for whatever reason, that DMUTW. |
