There is no filler on TOTY, it just has a shit ton of songs and it would be hard for all to be universally loved.
Not sure what to do here. Doolittle or Bossanova...
Doolittle. First vote that almost bothered me. Love them all.
My fave is still here, My final seven would have been a bit different, though.

The middle section on that album (from U-Mass to Letter to Memphis) has always left me a bit cold. U-Mass is Pixies by the numbers, and I've always had a hard time distinguishing Palace of the Brine and Letter to Memphis. Both good songs, but nothing transcendental. Maybe the album could have been even better with a different sequencing?
Anyway, these three songs in sequence, have always kept me from putting Trompe up there with his other masterpieces. |

Strange. Palace and Memphis (both drop D’s) are on my top 10 favourite Pixies songs.
And their ban from 2.0 setlists makes them even more cult to me.

I used to feel the way Fitzy does about that part of Trompe (that was back in 91/92.)
Now I feel more the way picpic does.
But I still don't know what "drop D's" means. |
