Woweeee! Now I'm REALLY looking forward to the shows this week, as I see they did EVERY song from HC last night, almost ALL(?) of Doolitle the nite before. with a smattering of HC. I love changing setlists and being surprised. |

And cool how the first ten songs alternate back and forth between 1.0 and 2.0 |

13 of the 32 songs are 2.0, so like 40% roughly.
Even if I don't love the 2.0 Pixies as much as the 1.0 (and who could?) I'm happy for Frank that he can play a lot more of his new songs and not have to do Wave or Mind for the 999th time. |

They played the entire Head Carrier album in this show, a first. Very cool. |

Question though, I haven't downloaded these tracks, because I can't use dime.... but did they get a recording of the first song and a half? (Subbacultcha and Plaster...) The web broadcast i was listening to started halfway into Plaster... |

Thanks very much for seeding this show.
For those without DIME access, is anyone here able to offer a private download link to the unadulterated files from that site?
Boy, that would be swell....

enjoy !
Thanks SO much for this.
Unfortunately, it is telling me I cannot access the file without a special "key," as it is encrypted.
Do you know what key should be entered to facilitate the download?
Much appreciated!

There's another link you copy from mega.nz which includes the decryption key in the link. Hopefully spnews will wander back and update the link for you.

Listening now.
The broadcast mix is WHACK, and there seem to be a lot of weird intonation issues with one (or more) of the guitars...
However, picpic is correct, "Caribou" is tremendous. "Holiday Song" as well.
Vocally, FBF is leaning HARD into the old, Boston-era material for this show. He's pitchy on several of the other cuts, and I think he might have been having a hard time hearing himself clearly onstage.
I'm up to the 10th song, and Paz's vocals are uniformly great on everything so far. It's always nice to hear her occasionally emulate Kim Deal's little "sing just a fraction behind FBF, timing-wise" tic/trick.
Again, thanks spnews for the tracks.

I also like how they follow up "Where Is My Mind" with "All I Think About Now," and later in the show follow "Classic Masher" with "Wave of Mutilation."
FBF took the new songs some in the press have knocked as being derivative of (respectively) a particular earlier tune by the group and then intentionally paired them together.
hahahahahahahahahahaha

Classic Masher in no way makes me think of Wave. Wonder why someone said that. |
