I always had the impression floop was responsible for a number of fake accounts over the years. He just seemed the most likely because the threads he started were always so funny. To this day I have no real idea whether they were him or not.
[EDIT] Also, floop's profile bio is sheer brilliance.

That's funny, Carl.
I remember him mentioning leaving the forum but he still hung around for a while. Some point after that I realized he'd stopped posting and figured that was it. His bio is pretty good. How long does one stay around forums? Still preferable to facebook or other online vistas, in my opinion. Maybe his f/x work really took off, I recall his project for the beer company, it was funny.
