I thought we could create a separate thread to list the differences between the tracks on the FB&TC box set and the original album versions - edits, alternate takes, and missing songs. The other thread is already 14 pages long and it's hard to keep track. Feel free to add your input and I'll update this post regularly.

Disc 1 [Al - Co]
1) All My Ghosts - edit version without the false start. Is it the same version as the AMG single?
2) Angst - SSMVGD version, longer than on One More Road For The Hit (added intro)
4) Back To Rome - FB&TC version without the count off and no fadeout
14) Blizzard 1989 - different take from the one posted on BF.net. Ben Mumphrey says: "Blizzard was 3rd Encore between DW and SMYT-- Charles & Rich G."
15) Bullet - DITS version without the intro
17) Changing of the Guards - Different version with piano.
18) Changing of the Guards - Different take from the AMG single.

Missing songs:
* Bullet - Crime + Punishment in Suburbia OST (don't know who plays on it though)
* Changing of the Guards - AMG single version.

Disc 2 [Co-Ho]
3) A Dab'll Do Ya 2:50 ... Different take from One More Road For The Hit version, which is 2:32 in length.
11) End Of Miles [unreleased] - Acoustic version from the Delicatessen 4 Sampler CD but without fadeout, 15" longer
16) Heloise - DW version with count off + outro
20) How You Went So Far - BLD version with a longer intro

Missing songs:
* A Dab'll Do Ya - SMYT ep version
* Blast Off demo from the DITS reedition
* Dog Gone 2002 version - who plays on this? It may not be considered a FB&TC track.
* Gouge Away - Live from the Nadine single
* Hermaphroditos - Live from the Nadine single
* His Kingly Cave - SSMVGD version

Disc 3 [Hu-Ki]
1) Humboldt County Massacre [v1/unreleased] - New, harder version
2) Humboldt County Massacre [v2] - SSMVGD version
7) I Switched You - Pistolero version with one extra minute of coda, no fadeout
8) I Think I'm Starting To Lose It - Pistolero version with count off
9) I Want Rock & Roll - Pistolero version with count off
11) I Will Run After You [unreleased] - SSMVGD version
13) I'm Going Down - Single version with a longer intro
14) I've Seen Your Picture - DITS version with count off
16) Jaina Blues - SMYT version... with 8 more seconds at the end :)
18) Jet Black River - BLD version with count off
19) John The Revelator [unreleased] - unreleased acoustic version. Ben M says: "2001 @ Sound City B room w Gersh on drums."

Missing songs:
* I'll Be Blue - Electric version
* If It Takes All Night demo from the DITS reedition
* Jane The Queen Of Love - Live from the Nadine single

Disc 4 [Le-Sc]
1) Le Cigar Volante - Error at 1:37
3) Living On Soul [v2/unreleased] - unreleased, from the Pistolero demos
6) The Man Who Was Too Loud - FB&TC version without the coda
12) Nadine [v2/unreleased] - unreleased
14) Out Of State - DW version with count off
16) Pray For The Girls - One More Road version with count off
17) Preacher's Daughter - One More Road version with an extra "Cool!" at the end :)
18) Robert Onion - DITS version with a slightly different ending
19) San Antonio, TX - DW version with longer ending
20) The Scene - DW version with count off

Missing songs:
* Le Cigare Volant - Acoustic version from the DITS Japanese edition
* Los Angeles - Live from the Nadine single
* Robert Onion demo from the DITS reedition

Disc 5 [Se-Su]
15) Some Things (I Can't Get Used To) .. an additional 5 seconds to the intro, compared to the Snake Oil version
Missing songs:
* Stupid Me demo from the DITS reedition

I had a notion that there was something different about Everything is New.

I've made playlists and I intend to A/B them with the albums sometime soon.

There is mastering error around 1:40 of Le Cigar Volant. The left channel has a problem. Examples are here: http://1drv.ms/1QoOCVK. One compares the box set to SSMVGD, the other is an MP3 of just the left channel from the box set.

Also, the acoustic version from the Japanese Dog In The Sand is missing.

Bullet is missing it's intro.

I'm Goin' Down: The song is 2:49 long on the Dog Gone single, 2:55 on Snake Oil and 2:59 on the box set. And the only difference is on the hi-hat kicks at the beginning :)

Strangely Le Cigare Volant isn't mentioned as unreleased. Has it ever been released officially? I thought it was only on SSMVGD. One More Road has the acoustic version from the Japanese DITS.

Yeah that is odd. I've emailed Cooking Vinyl regarding the mastering error but have not received a response. I hope it gets fixed and new discs are pressed.

Thanks for updating this Villainde. It's a nice resource for this massive box to have this info.

Disc 1
4. Back To Rome - FB&TC version with count off missing.

Also, I think the live tracks from the Nadine single should be included as missing tracks:

Hermaphroditos
Los Angeles
Jane The Queen Of Love
Gouge Away

Thanks, I hadn't noticed. Funnily the end of the song is about 2 seconds longer (no fade out), which means both tracks have the exact same length:)

Disc 6
15.Whispering Weeds .. has an extended intro compared to BLD

By the way, track 14.Whispering Weeds (v2) sounds the same to me as the version on True Blue/Red Letter Days

If I am not mistaken:

3) Living On Soul [v2/unreleased] - unreleased, from the Pistolero demos

is the exact same recording broadcast and introduced by the BBC's John Peel as an FB & The C's "Peel Session."
