What are they? Let's make a top 10 of his best songs almost no one has heard.

Grand Duchy's two albums are included, too. There's a few great ones there that have Frank's signature all over it.

I nominate:

* Serious Curious https://youtu.be/gWulKUx3p2c
* Living On Soul https://youtu.be/9rcbsCHgA4Y
* Black Suit https://youtu.be/hp09EPx63aE

Go!

the Golem must have lots of them.

Yes, the Golem might collectively qualify. https://vimeo.com/15581812

Astaroth is my favourite -- especially the reprise version which didn't even make it on the album.

This is kind of a rigged question for this forum McD :)

If you want to go with stuff almost no one has heard, you might as well say every solo song he's done. My way to approach this question would be more, "what non-obvious songs would you use to introduce someone into the world of solo FB"? But of course, if I get into that one, it's a little off topic :)

My density has popped me to you.

Id go for 'The Jacques Tati' and 'Demon Girl' seeing as FB+Teenage Fanclub EP and Christmass don't get (too) much attention.

Great picks.

I'd probably go with:

Living on Soul (especially the Peel session version)
Pray for the Girls
Le Cigare Volant (Japanese DiTS version)

Off the top of my head...

Lake of Sin
When I Go Down on You
Astoroth
Black Letter Day
Kiss My Ring
The Seus

I find a lot of my favourites tend to get overlooked, and often the ones most rated don't 'do it' for me as much.
