Didn't know whether to start a new thread or not, but here we go!
From Doolittle's Wikipedia Page:

Eventually, Francis took Norton to a record store, where he handed him a copy of Buddy Holly's Greatest Hits, in which most of the songs are about two minutes long.[12] He told Norton, "If it's good enough for Buddy Holly..."
Now, I always thought Black won that argument and Gil lost, but looking at the time differences between the initial demos and the final studio releases 15 out of 17 tracks have extended in length. Now some only very, very slightly but 8 are fairly significantly extended & 1 significantly shortened. In total we have an extra 5 minutes & 16 seconds of Doolittle, I'm guessing thanks to Gil.
Also interesting to note the 'Manta Ray' demo is listed 'My Manta Ray Is Alright' and the 'No. 13 Baby' demo is listed 'No. 13 Baby - VIVA LA LOMA RICA'. I'm guessing these are the original names.

I have another observation, specific to one song on Doolittle: Dead.
Pick up your guitar and play as F-shape barre chords: D-E-A-D.
