Yes! "After Hours" was actually done by Reid Paley. The show was in a sit-down, church/school-recital-ish venue. Black did an acapella medley of Subbacultcha/New House Of The Pope/666, (while ocassionally drawing on his head) all while the audience remained standing for the first time of the night. (like some bizarre dream where he was giving a church-like sermon).
He was chatting all night and seemed to be in a great mood. "Wheels" "Snakes" "This Is Where I Belong" were all awesome. There was also a kid who must of been 6 years old with his mom in the audience, who seemed to be having the time of his life. "Do you think Frank Black can see me?!" he said, while waiting for him to take the stage.
I'd love to hear the recording also! |
