The show was great! They sounded spectacular and really seemed to be enjoying themselves and each other. They were their usual unassuming selves and came through like champs! One thing I thought was interesting is that they played both versions of 'Wave Of Mutilation' The UK Surf version during the main set and the faster version as the first song of the two-song encore (finished with Debaser). They opened with 'Bone Machine' and 'Crackity Jones' Squeezed in my favorite b-side/cover song with 'Winterlong' and also played the new 'Bam Thwok' which sounded great. All of the popular favorites were in there too, finishing the main set with the acoustic-including songs....'Mr. Grieves', 'Nimrod's Son', 'Holiday Song' and of course a personal favorite 'Where Is My Mind'.....other songs in no particular order...No. 13 Baby, I Bleed, UMass, Subbacultcha, Gigantic, In Heaven, Gouge Away, Monkey Gone To Heaven, Here Comes Your Man, Vamos, Isla de Encanta, Caribou, Ed Is Dead, Velouria, Cactus, Broken Face, Tame, Dead and Hey. So as you can see a pretty damn full set o'songs. Just a great show overall. One parking note..the valet for $40 is not so bad if you have four people in the car. I got down Vermont and onto the 101 in less than 10 minutes after the show. They usually require a reservation, but do take some cash vehicles too. Hope tonight's show is as good.....

Thanks, The Thing

It was a great show! But I must disagree with the sound..... at one point it was all drums and vocal and guitars were not loud enough. on sections where joe should have been loud, he wasnt. hang the sound man. the Pixies were great but the crowd sucked hard because they lacked enthusiasm. no one really seemed into it, the pit did not move, what is the matter with you ppl at the Greek? shake your fuckin' head, pogo, do the electric slide, I know you know that! Bottom line, Pixies rocked and the crowd SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!
