I've just seen an ad for the new 'Punisher' movie. My grrlfriend says this comic hero has a baby strapped to his back but i didnt see no baby on the clip. Have we got our super heroes mixed up or is this yet again Hollywood taking what they want from a comic without staying true to the original? i dont know.
i do know my grrl was pissed off by their interpretation of Wolverine. |

I haven't seen the movie, but the Punisher's family was killed so, if there's a baby on his back, the studio either fudged his background or he's saving someone else's kid.
Why was she pissed about Wolverine? Too tall, bub?

I don't remember a baby in the movie. His whole family gets slaughtered. I can't even remember if he save a child in the movie or not.

No, he even hides while some punk kid with about a million facial piercings bites the bullet and has them all ripped out in order to save Frank's sorry ass.
I was not too keen on the Punisher movie, although I did think that some of the ruthless ways in which he "got" people killed were pretty cool, and true to the comic. (Like his causing John Travolta's character to kill his friend and wife because the Punisher set it up to make it look like they were sleeping together, etc. etc.)

i think pissed off was a bit too strong, sorry! erm....i dont know much bout comics but Wolverine looks a mean, hairy super loner with the ol' short man syndrome. think she thought the movie character lost some of his edge and aggression. and yeah, maybe bit too tall.

I thought Hellboy was extremely good. Have to say I consider it the best superhero movie in quite awhile.

Hellboy was real good for a major indy comic getting a movie translation. But for another indy book, Frank Miller's Sin City is going to kick major ass. They are saying it's the most faithful comic adaption of all time. It'll blow everything out of the water. There is a trailer floating around that is magnificent. Check out some pics:

I have waited so long for this film. Never thought it would happen.
