The issue with Gwynneth Paltrow on the cover? It's not as extensive or cool as the Spin write-up, but it's always great to see press on them.
Some good quotes from Frank, as always. A funny picture. And more revelations from Lovering about what sounds like an unfortunate incident with some now-jailed (!) woman.
Frank on how they're not about to release a bunch of new music: "Our fans really revere the catalogue and we don't wanna make the mistake of 'Here's our new shitty music.' '"
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank |

thanks Kathryn! I will have to check it out...
I haven't read the article, and don't know the entire story. But from what I heard I think it was from the Spin article about David and his relationship. I just feel for him. He just seems like such a nice, genuine person it's terrible that he had to be in a bad scene like that.
It seems like a worthwhile read. Thanks Kathryn!!! |

When I read the Spin piece, I thought *he* was the one who landed in jail, like it was this crazy relationship that drove him to violence or something. But the Entertainment Weekly piece totally sounds like he was the victim and is relieved that she's behind bars. Jeez, Louise!

I kinda read between the lines of that Spin article and figured he was the one on the recieving end... but it wasn't clear like you said.
It is really sad... Men can often be victims in emotionally/financially/sexually/physically abusive relationships. Usually the stigma is so much that men are far more less likely to get the help they need than women. I know the first warning sign that something might become abusive is if one's partner is controlling with things like....ones music, clothes and things you do with your time such as hanging out with friends or family. It can get out of control with out really knowing it.
It just is so sad because in most of the picures I have seen of him he has the coolest expression...like a kid in a candy store that he is just loving being in the Pixies. Like I said, I don' t know him, but if I were to guess... he is just a great person.
I would like to read more. How brave is he to share this expereince with others...??? It will help others in similar situations feel like it is ok to get help. |
