I saw them in Seattle last night and it was incredible. I am glad I got to finally see them. Frank's and Kim's voices have both gotten even better over the years. frank's screams were incredible. they played all kinds of good stuff too.
But it seemed like frank wasn't too excited about the show. he didn't say anything (which actually isn't that strange). they played one song for the encore, just like in bend, and didn't even leave the stage first. i kind of respect that though. when bands leave for too long and then come back its kind of annoying. you know they are coming back so why leave. but i digress.
i dunno, does anyone else think he might not be that into it?
Either way, great show! but next time i hope its the breeders opeining for the catholics. I think i would rather see them playing the stuff that they are really into now. it just makes more sense.
I dunno my impression is he is such a musician, such a craftsman, such a perfectioninst... he's absorbed about making the best sound... the stage presence is likely seen as a waste of energy... and I am glad he focuses into the music. It's refreshing.
I'd much rather that he focus on the sonics & sound of the performance (especially vocally) than get caught up in trying to be a dancing bear for everyone (;
