First time poster, but thought I would share this with anyone who was interested. All I have to say is it sounds like Boston will be treated very well towards the end of the year.

Kind of a weird title for an article which only really talks about shows in Amherst and Lowell, they are really making us wait for it, apparently.

last time i checked, the merrimac valley and the pioneer valley are not in BOSTON!

if you are not interested in travel for these shows wait they will add Boston proper dates.

Yeah, but Lowell is not that far outside of the city. UMass, well, that's a bit of a stretch. Patience people, patience. There is obviously going to be a lengthy Boston set which will be "announced shortly" if you read it thoroughly. Damn clear channel bastards don't help in the delay.

imo they will end up playing shows at cc venues, because if they want to play inside Boston they have no other reasonable choice.

Well, the rumored places I guess were the Roxy in Boston and the Paladium in Worcester for some shows? I don't believe either of those are clear channel, but to be honest I don't know. All other venues in Boston are going to be clear channel (wang, orpheum, avalon, paradise, etc...)

cc has a hand in the Roxy, at least w/ ticket sales, although i do not know how far or strong its reach is there.

You're right, Lowell is not that far out of the city, but it is not Boston either.

Eh, Worchester is far. Although, I travelled to the UK for the Catholics - I guess it is all in our perception of things and how much we give a damn.
