The first few I saw were pretty good, but after about the third, the utterly consistent formula left a sour taste. I mean, funny, but how about some episodes where it isn't just Larry David being misunderstood and forced into the most awkward situation possible for the set of initial circumstances.
That said, there are far worse shows you could watch.

The HOV lane episode last year was the best ever. From start to end that episode had me in stiches.

I've only seen 4 or 5 episodes (I don't have HBO) but I did see the episode of which Thomas speaks, where Larry took a prostitute to a Dodger game. Hilarious.
There was a true life story related to that episode. A man was exonerated of murder charges because he appeared in HBO's footage at the game. It confirmed his alibi: http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/06/07/larry.david/ |
