I just bought one today and tried it out for the first time today,
Greatest thing ever, smoking toba out of a pipe is the most relaxing thing ever. Highly Recommended, i dont even want cig's anymore.

Nice. A classier way to slowly kill yourself. If you're going to go down...you'd might as well go down in style, right?

I do. I'm a bit worried about my favorite past time though because I'm running low on crack.

Actually Cham, it's 90% of the health risks. There are always advantages to quitting no matter what age you are...

But then there is the disadvantage of not smoking.

My brother in law smoked cigarettes, and he used a pipe to wean himself off of them gradually. Now he doesn't smoke anything anymore (well...I shouldn't say anything but at least what he does smoke does more for him than cigarettes did, if you get my drift.

I don't know if that would work for me, to smoke a pipe to quit cigarettes. Apparently I have a psychological addiction to smoking, rather than a physical one, which is evidently harder to quit. I never "nic out" or smoke in wierd places (I was not one of those people who smoked in high school bathrooms) but I just always smoke when I'm around other smokers. (Usually at work.)

I used to, but I'm afraid you look like a right dork when you're a 25-year-old smoking a pipe, unless you're a very classy 25-year-old. Which I was obviously not.

I quit in 1997 and bought HEAPS OF CDS with the money I was saving. Yay!

I don't miss it, although I still love the smell of Amsterdamer.

Leary stole all of his work from Bill Hicks.
Just thought I should point that one out.

Obnoxious , self-righteous, whining little fucks. My biggest fear is that if I quit smoking, I'll become on of you...Don't take that wrong. I have something to tell you non-smokers that I know for a fact that you don't know, and I feel it's my duty to pass on information at all times. Ready?.......Non-smokers die every day...Enjoy your evening. See, I know that you entertain this eternal life fantasy because you've chosen not to smoke, but let me be the 1st to POP that bubble and bring you hurtling back to reality....You're dead too.

Nice one Steak n Sabre. Brightened my day right up.

I like cigars. But pipes smell better (with quality tobacco) in a second-hand way.

There are pictures of my great great great(?) Grandmother Dahoney smoking a corncob pipe. She smoked all her adult life, but at age 99, her family tried to get her to stop. She took to smoking in the clothes closet. The doctor advised that they allow her to smoke it, since she had made it that far. Besides the fact that she'd probably burn the house down with her in it, smokin' in the closet.

when I lived in oxford my ex and I would go do the sunday night pub quiz in the local pub the butchers arms, munch our way through a pint of pistachio's and top the evening off with a cigar from the bar.

happy days

*sigh*

Hahha, thats an amazing pic, its like looking in the mirror actually.
Yea its a cornpipe im using, not really by choice, but because it was the least expensive one there. I dont know why but that distinct pipe smell is on my top 10 smells of all time.

My humblest apologies, Crouton. I didn't realize it would cause such hysteria, or that I was being watched so closely.

I'll try to tame my wild editing addiction in the future.

hehe. Well, as he said last night (as I heard it) at 12 AM, "I'm dirty!!".

Which I finally came to realize meant that he was now no longer trustworthy. And that he's 30.

I'll be sure to pass along the good wishes. For now I gotta make a peach-rhubarb pie, and finish wrapping the gol'durned presents. ;)
