just discovered simple kid, i knew i should have checked him out earlier, but i don't know, never got around to it. the album is fantastic though, 'the average man' is the best song i've heard all day!  anyone else like simple kid? seen him live? does he play with a full band or is it just him?
And it's hard to be a human being, and it's harder as anything else, and I'm lonesome when you're around, and I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself, and I miss you when you're around. |

I think I vaguely remember that name. Wasn't he compared a lot to Beck? Like everyone said he was gonna be the next best thing and eventually he never became famous for some reason.

well he hasn't done much, basically his first album (maybe his only one i think?!) was recorded by himself to 8 track cassette then onto his pc, then he splices and stuff and messes around to mess his songs up a bit, like move the place of the chorus and things.

but yeah, he sounds a bit like early beck mixed with blur (from the self-titled album) and a bit of pavement. it's all good. if you are of the downloading nature i suggest you check out the average man, as i said before, and judge him on that!
