| ....wow are these match-up movies lame...rather than put out total and complete crap, they could maybe give some overlooked original screenplays a try....I am, however, still holding out for ET vs Ewoks. |

I think it's fun. I enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason. It wasn't a great movie, but honestly were any of the originals seriously great movies? You can argue the Nightmare(the original) was but even at that point Freddy was just a goof when he stepped out of the shadows at all. The point of monster movies is to just have a good time. Now I won't go as far as some and let anything slide by just for the sake of a popcorn movie or whatever but I seriously thought that in the case of Freddy vs. Jason they did at least try and did a decent job of essentially mixing a Nightmare movie and a Friday the 13th movie together. The visuals were also damn well done. Back onto subject I'd have to put my money on Jason.

And to not derail the thread...Yes, the "Vs." movies are definitely getting old. I don't see how they can do Superman vs. Batman either since they're both good...Maybe there will be a competition for who can kill the most bad guys?

Oh and I think Hollywood is officially out of original ideas. Batman vs. Superman... that's rock bottom. I mean it just sounds like it would bomb doesn't it. AVP is going to suck hard too because it's PG-13!! What the fuck? Weren't all the Alein and Predator movies rated R? I can't wait to see the look of disappointment in the people's eyes. So I can say, "I TOLD YOU SO!!"

There will probably be bleeding, just not really cool death scenes. Cool death scenes can make a movie, you know. A bit morbid, yes, but it's not real and I must admit it's entertaining. When stuff like that happens in real life I get sick and feel horribe. Never entertained by real things...Bit of a hypocrite? Yep, sure am. Mmm...fake death scenes.

AVP was OK. I won't give away any spoilers. If you liked the other movies, you'll like this one. Predators are kind of cute in a disgusting sort of way without their masks.
Lance Henriksen is in it and he's very cool.
