How do you become a member of the Pixies fan club?

Hello Kristina,
Welcome to our cosy little message board, home to the Cult of Frank but also to the Pixies Fan Club or, as we call it here, the PFC. I hope you will enjoy exchanging ideas about music, but also about various other topics with the high quality individuals we have on the forum.
You want to join us? There are no fees, we will not ask you to pay anything or to make some expensive phonecalls. In fact, all you have to do is be accepted by the Executive Board of the PFC (the EBPFC). As I happen to be the president of the EBPFC, I will introduce you to the other members (there are 6 of them) and then they will decide whether you're accepted or not (don't worry, it is not that difficult).
If you are accepted, you will become not only a member of a fan club, but also a part of a worldwide community (more than 25 nations represented) in which the members of the Pixies participate actively. For instance, we organized a fishing trip with Frank Black last year, and we are planning a cycling trip with David Lovering this year.
So all you have to do is send me your résumé and your covering letter as well as a picture of yourself by e-mail, and we will contact you soon if your qualifications correspond to our (high) standards.

Monsieur forgot to specify that the official language of this forum is French. This results from the fact that both Dave and Dean, our beloved moderators, are Quebecers and fanatical francophiles.

Hmmm... that seems like a big deal to join a fan club. I don't have resume of this sort to give out...and a cover letter too. I don't this process would be so involved. It kinda feels like I'm interviewing for a job. I'm not sure what you are looking for. I just love the pixies music and wanted to get interact with others who feel the way.
What are the benefits of becoming a member? Do you receive special treatment for anything?

Don't believe him. The only requirement is that you can name at least one member of the Pixies. And you even get three tries. My first two guesses were Frank Zappa and Frankie Avalon, but I got it right the third time.

Howdy hey Kristina. Generally the only demands are ignoring Monsieur until he sulks and making fun of Cult Of Frank. I suggest you start right away. It also helps to know at least one Pixies song (clue: that one on the end of Fight Club always goes down well).

I know Frank Black is in the band and the girl for the breeders, I think her name is Kate something. I can also name a bunch of Pixies songs. where is my mind, gigantic, bone machine, u of mass and I could go on and on.
But what I really want to know is, how to a get the special password to get advanced tickets to the show in LA at the Greek Theater? I want to be a presale purchaser. |

| For the Greek theater, you should ask Dean. He is the specialist. That's how I got the tickets. He will perform himself. They put a lot of oil on their naked bodies and then wrestle while Kate sings "Uuuuuuuuu Ooooooooof Maaaaaaass". |

Well, I was hoping this was going to be more fruitful than this. The advanced ticket sale ends today and I'm no closer to getting tickets than I was before I posted, which makes me very sad.

In that way, you purchase a bond, which gives you a stake in the club, much like a country club. Your family history will be researched, and in order for you to qualify, you or your ancestors must have financial ties with the Saudi royal family.

The woman we know as "Kim" is actually named Kate, but she had her name legally changed to "Mrs." upon marrying John Murphy. After the divorce, she started calling herself "Kim," so John couldn't track her down and force her to pay alimony.
