I've finally got e-mail confirmation from Ticketmaster but I still won't believe it until I have them in my hands!

Thanks again to Gav for the heads up that they were still available

It even works at 8 pm CET. Fuckin' amazing.
It took a while to get the confirmation email, but now I've booked flights etc. and am looking forward to a show that might even beat Brixton.

Oh, and thx again for the info. I tried to get a ticket this morning but was also denied due to timeout etc.

Oh boy I would've loved to be there August 20th. I even have some holiday over that week-end. The flight prices are almost double what I paid in June though. I'll stay home and save for when Frank tours with the Catholics. He'll have to tour with Honeycomb yes?

I'm glad too see all you good folk got tickets though. Two weeks from now huh? It'll be excellent.

On a more serious note, I'd like the Dave magic show, just because that's the night at Brixton I missed.

i'm not a huge fan, the gf has the album, i thought it was *very* samey, they did however impress me at T-in-the-Park, were very good live... still think they're very samey though, there's no way they'd open for the pixies...

I'd be surprised if it's anyone big opening, given that it's a relatively low-key warm-up gig ... I'd vote for someone like clinic or kaito - a lesser-known band that would compliment them ... what I've heard of the killers sounded like 3rd-rate U2 wannabees (kinda like the walkmen but worse) ... but hey, I could be wrong and anyway: lousy support = more time at the bar!

Shows how much you know Simon when you consider that The Delays opened for them on one of their Brixton nights.

The point is, of all the bands playing V with the Pixies, The Killers are the most likely to open. Personally I am not even sure it will be someone who is also playing V. It was Benji that suggested that.

Don't expect anyone great though.

Hi kids,

Does anyone know how strict they are with the age restrictions at The Forum? It says noone under 14 and under 18's need to go with an over 18, so I'm curious as to whether I'll get in or not.

Any help would be great.

I wouldn't worry about it, i went to see the Libertines at the Forum last year & there were so many kids around it was unbelievable. I don't reckon they are too overzealous.

anyone meeting anywhere beforehand too? I've suggested the Tally Ho, as it's around the corner from the venue. and if you get there early, you can get a seat - and every time I've been in there, it has never been packed, just nicely full...

ok, well I shall wear a really obvious t-shirt... not sure which though, but something obvious. Maybe my Homestarr Runner t-shirt, cause that's good for meeting people - a big white star on a red shirt... and I shall look out for you Peter!
