| I've been listening to Doolittle for 15 years now, and God knows how many listens I've had. Today, I fired up my IPod and decided to just sit and listen to Doolittle and do nothing else - give it my full attention. I heard something that I've never heard before. Right after the drumbeat and right before the first guitar pick of Mr. Grieves, someone (and it sounds like Charles) says something. First of all, I can't believe I never heard it before (the new earphones must have done it), and second, I have no idea what he says. Anyone help? |

I can't hear what you mean. Maybe it's a glitch that happened compressing the song?

| No, it's not a compression glitch. I tried it from the actual cd itself and I hear the same thing. It's hard to hear, and I only hear it when I'm using headphones. To me, it sounds like Charles is saying "Dave". But it's said pretty quiet - in the background. I don't know, maybe I need to stop drinking. |

I cranked it headphones and can hear someone saying "Okay" very faintly in the background before the guitar comes in..
You gotta turn your headphones down dude, or you'll be deaf in 10 years!

Oh lord, I really am going to have to do this now and crank my player up real loud, I love little bits like those, there's loads on the various radiohead CD's that I used to listen to over and over at full whack to get what it said, no wonder my hearing is shot to shit

Not to derail, but that's why I am Fluent now in ASL (american sign language)... I know the day will come eventually when I go deaf.
Now I need to learn brail.
