Did anyone ever noticed that if you play Black Letter Day album on your computer 'End of miles' is displayed as 'God of miles'?

Strange, huh?

Well "The Dream is Over" bootleg appears to be "Black Stool Acoustic" on my PC (well itunes anyway) - surely something to seek medical advise over???

All I can tell you about this is that the original factory pressed disc was called "The Dream Is Over," however, a few years after that, someone burned a bunch of crappy CD-R copies of it and made an inkjet cover with a new title, which was "Black Stool". I guess that was supposed to be a pun on the fact that they assumed he was sitting on a stool during the show.

Underneath the title, they had added (acoustic). They sold these on eBay for a few months. Whoever you got your copy from must have duped it from one of these re-titiled knock-offs.

I have the original factory pressed version though - I think the problem is with the CD identification databases that programmes like iTunes and WMP use to get track listings - presumably whoever registers the tracks first on the database calls the shots on naming the tracks and album - regardless of what the disc might actually be called. REMs reveal has 2 completely different track listings according to the iTunes Gracenotes db, and I've seen numerous other mistakes and typos.

I have had itunes connect to Gracenote CDDB and it completey registers the cd wrong. I had put in a Weezer single to get the bsides and it came up as a Def Leopard cd. It's happened a few times with other cds I own. I constantly see typos as well. Probably what happened that End of Miles comes up God of Miles.

Wow, that's great info here. I know I'm late to the party, but this was really helpful as I'd never heard of this 'Black Stool Acoustic' and was curious what the story was about it. I really like what I've heard so far, but wasn't sure if it was a bootleg or what not. I may change the title on my mp3 tracks as 'Black Stool' is just nasty!

Doesn't Surfer-Pilgrim do something similar? It lists the "you fuckin' die!" track as the next tune, and comes up with some bizzare title for Levitate Me at the end.

Or maybe I dreamed it, like SkittleBrau.

I'm not sure, since I bought Surfer and Pilgrim on different discs. When I tried to put Surfer into my computer, though, it skipped over "you fuckin' die" entirely, and said that BOTH of the last two tracks were "Brick Is Red."

Managed to find my SR/COP cd, I think someone must have updated the "Gracenote" thing Winamp uses to check the cd. I coulda sworn the last track was something along the lines of "I Hate Evil Things", very strange.
