| Reminds me of argument I once had in a bar with a woman I knew. She thought Tori Amos was a sell out for singing songs about men when it was so obvious she was a lesbian (I later learned that this woman was lesbian or at least trying it out). I asked how she knew she was lesbian and she replied that her lyrics made it obivous that she hated men. To which replied that you don't have to be a lesbian to hate men. That ends rather pointless story. |

Saw that episode the other day on MTV2 as well. What they said during that video just reminded me of one thing. Tori Amos is the devil.

She never hated men that I was aware. From everything I could gather, she was way into them, just having relationship problems like any person does, and thus the songs were actually relevant to me. So, seems kind of a weird interpretation for that lady friend of yours, darwin. Why is it that any confident and creative woman gets labeled as a lesbian? (My father thought my mother was for being an artist and having a job and a mind of her own). Cant people just be allowed to think for themselves without having their sexuality determined by strangers or bigots? I think "freaks" and "geeks" can just be freaks and geeks. People's gotsta get outa their black and white worldviews.
