Hey, it’s Chris from the NYC band Ruth Ruth. Our debut album came out on American in '95. Out of a couple of labels who were interested, we chose American because FB was on it (& Johnny Cash  ). I’m here mainly to promote our new album. Sorry if that offends anyone. Just being honest. We’re doing all the promotion for the album on our own, so I’m only going to forums of bands / musicians I like & have on my shelf, in the hopes of turning some people on to what we’re doing & be around to answer any questions, etc. So I’m actually “here”, and I actually do dig FB.

I think you're band got mentioned somewhere a week or two ago. Somewhere between Struth and Ruthless or something dumb like that.

Heh, I've been here (and helping with the site) for over a year and I still debate whether I should post the link to our website or not (so far, not)...
... but I appreciate your honesty and am fairly convinced you're not a bot and are at least a little into FB, so good luck. Not an easy line to walk.

I saw you guys by accident and I want to say that it was in Hartford, CT about 5 years ago (I think). It was a festival and I remember you guys had this excellent song which I now think is Kaboom. You had climbed the stage poles and got about halfway up and probably thought - 'sheeeeeit what am I doing' before being told off so you climbed down (outdoor festival). Anyway, I could never remember your band's name because I wanted that damn song, so cheers for signing in....because I can get in now.... |

Hey Chris, it's cool that you have come here to promote your band. I have already gotten on to one new band this week through this site (one of the guys from The Secret Hairdressers came on here) and I am happy to have another. I will check out your stuff later.

begeegs: I can't believe you were at that show! I think I had a moment of complete insanity when I climbed up there. I did really contemplate jumping into the crowd but it dawned on me I'd probably break my neck. Kaboom is on "Are You My Friend?" and you can find it on Amazon or Ebay for really cheap. Check out the new CD, maybe you'll dig.
