All Over the World. I can't believe how that song doesn't seem to get the mad respect it deserves. And it's also the longest Pixies song ever. Epic by their standards. The Happening is also underrated. The Bossanova album as a whole seems to be.

Most of the songs after Dig For Fire on Bossanova are under-rated. |

I Bleed- Well in my books it is underrated. I never gave it credit, till i downloaded the live track off Baileys. Lovely vocals.

My vote is going for the entire album Trompe Le Monde as every song on there is underrated, although I believe that there is another posting on that - If I had to choose one - which really is the question, no?
Subbacultha - the lyrics are the best.

I've "discovered" Blown Away at the live shows. Always liked it but now love it much more.
Yeah, the whole of Trompe is very underrrated.

Blown Away, All Over The World, Santo, and Into The White. They have some fantastic B-Sides that should really be A-Sides.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |

Bird Dream of the Olympus Mons
I dont know, this song just keeps picking up steam, its so good. My favorite on the album next to Alec Eiffel, which I dont if I can say is underrated, but it took me awhile then I just started to get into that song.
Motorway to Roswell - Awesome vocals, awesome guitar work, great chorus, with a great capper. I hear this song, and it makes me wish they would just keep going into a fifth full length lp. Like Joey says in "Gouge" they never went down, and these songs off tromp le monde prove it.

I'm not sure if it's my #1 pick for this topic, but when I listen to The Navajo Know, I'm always pleasantly reminded of how great the song is. |

Navajo Knows, I pretty like it but it doesn't seem to be a Pixies favorite. Totally agree that All Over The World is an awesome song and is quite underrated. Others: Hang Wire, Lovely Day, Build High.... |

I don't know if it's the most underrated (I might also give that honor to "All Over The World"), but I don't hate "Tony's Theme," so I'd probably say it's underrated.

on the topic of bossanova being underrated as a whole...
it has the two most beautiful pixies songs: ana, havalina the longest pixies song: all over the world the most rocking pixies song: rock music the best instrumental: cecilia ann the most underrated pixies song: blown away and THE BEST PIXIES SONG: THE HAPPENING
what a great album. i've been listening to it nonstop the past couple days.
best pixies album, though: trompe le monde.

First, I'd like to apologize for disintering this topic but I think it's a good question.
I'm convinced "Trompe Le Monde" is the most underrated Pixies album, and further more, I think "The Sad Punk" (which is, in my opinion, the greatest Pixies song ever) is clearly their most underrated song.
Yet this song rocks like no other! |

Silver = pure underrated gold, erm silver. Most people hate it, for me its one of my favorites (Kim's gorgeous vocals, his even higher backing vocals, Joey's spooky guitar). Typifies for me everything I like about them - their sheer variety (c'mon the same band that did tame, TAAAAAMMMEEE!!!).
Agree about bossanova being the most underrated. Trompe seems to be the critic's fav after surfer rosa |

The Sad Punk is definitely the highlight of Live At The Paradise for me, but on the whole, I'd say Motorway To Roswell, because it's rightfully a favourite among Pixies fans, but still a song no casual listener gets to hear. |

Distance Equals Rate Times Time from Trompe. One of my fave tracks from that album, love the harmonies in the chorus (if you could call it a chorus). I've never seen this song mentioned on here. |

Trompe Le Monde is a lot better than how much credit it gets. Its got a taste of Frank Black's solo work...

I think "Hang Wire" is a very underrated song, I just discovered it recently and havent stopped playing it since, I really think "Bossanova" as an album is criminally underrated, some of the best songs Black Francis has ever written are on that album! |
