Wimbledon Men’s Final Today

Roger is going to kill poor Andy... =(

I can honestly say without a guilt conscience, that Roger is arguably the best tennis player of all time.

He plays so well, and without even having a “coach.”

Wow.

I hate myself.

So here’s what I think will happen…

Roger Federer

vs.

Andy Roddick

Sorry Henman lost Adnan, I was cheering him on all the way..

I love both these tennis players, they are awesome players. I say Roger in straight sets. Match starts in approximately 49 minutes…

I think Smpras in his prime would beat him. Sampras is the greatest ever IMO.

I liked tennis when there were long volleys, mcenroe/conners/borg/chang/agassi - fun to watch. I do like the power hitters, but when opponenets can't even make a decent serve return, not so fun to watch IMO.

you are confusnig "volley" with Ralley"

volley = to hit the ball before it bounces

rally = the ammount of shots hit in a single point

You would like to see Wilander vs Agassi if you like rallies

You would like to Macenroe vs Edberg if you like vollies

I detest henman and I always cheer for whoever is opposing him, personality lacking frankenfreak

Rudesdki (sp?) may suck but at least he has an iota of personality.

British Tennis depresses me

I think it's too soon to proclaim Federer as the best of all time, although he does have the skills. I would have to go with Sampras and his 14 grand slam titles. Roger is a more well-rounded player than Pete, but Pete was so mentally tough. I'm not saying Roger isn't, but it's still so early in his career. I didn't get to see the final live, but I taped it, and from what I've seen Roddick played him very tough. I think those two could have the next great tennis rivalry, which is what the game badly needs. Roddick's power vs. Federer's skill.
And while we're talking tennis, did anyone see the woman's final? If so, you saw a great match. I never thought I'd see anyone outslug Serena Williams, but I saw it Saturday. Sharapova looks like the real deal.

Sadly I think you're right. I hope Roddick can give him a game, but he looks practically invincible on grass. Against Hewitt, Federer was awesome, some absolutely amazing shots and ralley construction.

Roddick doesn't look natural at the net and to make it worse Roger hit amazing cross court passing shots all day long. Truely an awesome display of Tennis. It would be nice if you could get the mini grand slam. But I'd be content if he wins Wimbledon 5 times in a row and a total of 7 times. We shall see.

Seems like Federer's game is very much effected by the opponent, like the stronger the oppenoent the better he plays. He seemed to have an easiest time in the final, and he said he was nervous in the semi's. But he looked like he was having more fun and playing better and better as the rounds progressed and it totally climaxed in the finals.

I don't know, maybe that sounds ridiulous. Bring on the us open
