...I was waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand.
Where is the Song Oracle? Is he dead?
Feels like waiting for Godot.
Perhaps we killed him... |

The Song Oracle is treating us to Pixies songs now in, unsurprisingly, the 'Subbacultcha' section. |

Yeah, it's from the song Disorder, the first track on the Unknown Pleasures album.

*AHEM* There is nothing wrong with being a Song Oracle. Song Oracles play an oft times over looked role in perpetuating the love of music, world wide. In fact, by gum, there should be a SONG ORACLE T-shirt made and sold to raise funds for Song Oracles everywhere so that they can sit at home all day and spread the good sounds/words via the internet.
Harumph!
(Okay, so I've been a Song Oracle too. I admit. That didn't sound defensive, did it? *GIGGLING*)

The position of Song Oracle dates back to the ancient Greeks. After the death of a Song Oracle, the gods would appoint a new one by striking their chosen person with a lightning bolt. The eletric shock would grant the newly chosen Song Oracle powers beyond those of most mortals.

I want a Song Oracle buttom!
(Yes, I do have an inborn need to stretch inside jokes WAY beyond the point where they're funny. And on that note, the Song Oracle is the Swimmer!)

After a while, the song oracle, having all the food and alcohol and women he desired, would become to lazy to post on a forum for mortal human beings. But the human beings, led by Monsieur Spartacus, will fight and defeat the power of that evil God as well as the other greek gods such as the god of death, Kaziris. And Monsieur Spartacus will bring love and happiness to the forum members. |
