Anyone going there????
I'm leaving tomorrow but I didn't see much fuzz about this festival in the forum, perhaps not enough fans from Germany?

I've read someone is going from germany to slovenia, wouldn't it have been easier to go near Bremen??

Anyways... if anyone is going there to see the Pixies (I still can't believe it), post something perhaps we can meet there!

Rock on!

they will play in berlin on june 29th, which is in 4 days. and guess who's gonna go there... i bet there are some tickets left cause have you ever seen how big the wuhlheide is?

well, i wanted to join the hurricane-festival just to see the pixies, david bowie, franz ferdinand and mclusky. but firstly it's too expensive if you only want to see a few bands. and secondly there are too many people. thirdly i don't want to walk around the whole day (i know, i'm lazy). and finally festivals are just too fucking uncomfortable.

Hi there, a first report of the gig: quite typical festival show, not to be compared to Brixton Academy (Saturday ruled ), but very good anyway. The weather was quite miserable, some heavy showers right as Kim started to sing In Heaven (what a coincidence). I was surprised to see how many young people were familiar with all the songs. Kim looked gorgeous in her black suit with a white blouse.
They played the following songs, as far as I can remember, though not in that order. But they did open with U-Mass and finished with Vamos.

U-Mass
Bone Machine
River Euphrates
Monkey Gone to Heaven
I Bleed
Caribou
Broken Face
Something Against You
Hey
No 13 Baby
Dead
Gigantic
Velouria
Gouge Away
Debaser
Tame
In Heaven (Lady In the Radiator Song)
Where Is My Mind?
Here Comes Your Man
Vamos

After Pixies, Placebo were on and left Where Is My Mind out of their set (thank god for that).
David Bowie afterwards did play Cactus. It would be nice to know whether he asked the band not to play it in their set.
