Met an old friend and fellow Pixies fan the other day. Now usually I'd take this kind of thing with a pinch of salt, but this guy is not a bullshitter and has generally good connections in the promotions business here in Ireland. Anyway, after the US tour there's allegedly a Dublin date planned for January. Keep your eyes and ears peeled. Tickets will go fast, if it actually comes to fruition.
The only things is, I want to hear Franks new album Live very soon! |

hhhmmm very very very very very very very very very very very very interesting ...
Someone I know has connections with MCD and was actually working backstage looking after the Pixies at the recent gig in the Park. I will suss out what I can from him! If its January it must be an indoor gig, so Id guess the Point or maybe the RDS indoors, which ever holds the most, either way its gonna sell out very quickly if its happens.
I am getting my disposable camera pics from the park gig today, cant wait to see them, we were very close to the front so hopefully theyll turn out well. Ill try to scan some of them if they are good.

Holy shit. 'twould be great to see them headlining here. Hope if they do that it's not the Point because it sucks bottom (although Radiohead were really good there last time out). And mebbe Frank will find the time to play a solo show while he's over here. I'm getting carried away now, ain't I? |

Some of my friends left early, but I went a bit later with my brother and some friends, asuming we'd be in plenty of time for Pixies. We could'nt get a minicab and ended up sitting in the pub for AGES waiting for two taxis to arrive, because, as the guy at the bar said, "There's some gig on and all the minicabs are booked out"!!!!! And yes, the traffic, and diversions etc. Plus That bloody AWFUL walk up through the park.(Oh, the torture of hearing some of my faves songs from afar and trying to speed-walk to the stage!)
