I'm french and appreciate of all the france references in the frank black lyrics.
It gives a vision from someone that is outside and see the good things there, while i so used to them that i don't really notice it.
By the way, massif centrale est une chanson excellente.

Well, France obviously loves Frank, and it's difficult not to love someone who loves you. :)
Also, Frank enjoys French food & wines, everybody here knows that.

Frank is obviously the reincarnation of Charlemagne. I mean, think about it. Charlemagne was a Frank, and here we have a guy named Charles who goes by Frank.
