I went to see Saved! w/ my roommate and his girlfriend last night. It was an alright film, for being a satire of Christian schools and that whole mentality. Coulda been better, coulda been worse. But anyway, during the prom scene they had what was supposed to be a Christian band playing, but the song they were lip-synching to was The Replacements "We'll Inherit the Earth" from Don't Tell A Soul, and a few minutes later, a slower, more echoey version "Skyway" from Pleased to Meet Me was playing in the background. It was very strange. But very cool. I'm guess these soundtrack decisions might have something to do w/ Michael Stipe being one of the producers of the film. All the cult bands from the 80's are popping up in odd films. I couldn't believe when I heard "Here Comes Your Man" and "La La Love You" in Stuck On You.
