That's right.
So yes, we love em, and yes, they make the raging rock tunes. But, let's remember their reason: they sellout. Tis not a bad thing at all, I guess, that they want cashola. I'm glad, you're glad, we all glad. Here are my obsessive reasons why they rock now:
Frank: divorcee Dave: If he can't get into a show in cali, he needs dough. Kim: Liquor is expensive Joe: hmm.. he loves pixies (or babies?)
Regardless of my bullshit, bring rock. Intension is subjective and irrelevant. All that is true is the work, so make more.
Sincerely raging, 1c

yeah, i'm ok with the decision, none of them really got what a band who has had such an impact on rock music really deserves, so in my book, it's all good. |

Well, it's not like they're exactly the most popular band in the world right now, so I don't consider them "selling out" in the purest sense of the term.

I was thinking about a thing, guys: The band dind't expect that reaction, and also promoters and tour managers. Don't you think they have signed for some festivals as an underrated band?
I supose Linkin Park and some other bands are earning more money than Pixies for their job. Am I right?

I think the band are genuinely surprised at the reaction to their reforming, I mean the world has gone a bit Pixies nuts of late, when I saw them at Brixton their was a look of sheer delight on Frank's face at the audience reaction (and I think we can all agree that's not a common sight). That they weren't straight out and out headliners at the festivals, and the enormous demand for tickets for the original two Brixton nights, suggests that nobody, least of all the band were expecting the "sellout" tour to sellout.
Sure they might be doing to for the money - but I don't think anybody was thinking - cash cow, lets milk it, when they decided to do it

About your avatar, the thing...every time I see it, I think that the lemur has his head detached and is tossing it back and forth from hand to hand. |

Some artists can still dig for fire as they're looking for the mother lode. Lemurs reflect saline H2O as sure as fish all of them speak. I used to try to get the Pixies into one conversation a day, now I think of them as a hike I don't want the tourists to find. |
