the new pixies song...

Kim Deal singing lead and in the space and style that Frank has usually occupied and Frank being where Kim previously abode.

To me it sounds like a mix of I Can't Forget (Leonard Cohen/Pixies cover), LeS RiTa MiTsOuKo (a french band), Saints (Breeders) and Boom Chicka Boom (early Pixies). For some reason I get a vibe of sonic youth's %100...

(lyrics are subject to reality)

D
I can hear
the buzz and modulations
of the universe
but you're the first
to make me feel it

F#m D A
if only joy had enough

    C
bangkok cha wocka wocka
D
bam thwack
A
love
     C
bangkok cha wocka wocka

D
bosses and offices
on automatic drip
they got the keys to the city
but we got a lot of
shaking in our hips

you know me
i love the universe
i love all the listeners
watch it
here's fifty thousand watts of good will

oh if only joy had a love
bangkok cha wocka wocka
bam thwack
love

E
(organ solo)
F A# C A# F

i can hear
the buzz and modulations
of the universe
but you're the first
to make me feel it

i love the universe
i love all the listeners
watch it
here's fifty thousand watts of good will

love
bangkok cha wocka wocka

I hear the chorus as

"Bam Thwock
Not Bangkok-a'-wocka wocka"

I've never been good at this though.

I like the song more each time I listen to it. Pop music needs more nonsense word lyrics. "Papa ooo mow mow" and "Bang Shang-a-lang" and all that.

I really like it.. the keyboard solo is so weird.. almost sounds like something from John Linnell's "State Songs"

I hear the similarity there. And the opening has the same hit (and possibly same chord) as the beginning of I Can't Forget. I dig it lots.

Do we need to wait for the Pixies to hear such a song? I mean it's not bad but please don't tell me this song is better than any FB solo songs?
