Goldfrapp are good. However, the Stereophonics have put me off going altogether!

I think a boycott of any festival which puts the Pixies below Stereophonics on the bill is in order.

I really wanted to do a festival this year, especially with that certain dream headliner doing the rounds again, but the acts this year are just dire....Or maybe I'm getting old.

Is it me or are their alot less American Indie acts coming over for the festival this past couple of years? And the smaller stages seem to be put together as an afterthought.

I'm going to V Festival. Pixies headlining the first day, alongside the Strokes. Hmm...

it's quite a big capacity i believe... and it's not a camping thing, also iirc. stereophonics are headlining, so i think that put off alot of pixies fans (certainly me), it's expensive just to see a band or two and then bugger off when the headliners come on (who likely are taking the larger percentage of your ticket cost). there are better festivals to see them at, where the day tickets haven't sold out either (i think?)

well they're playing V and T-in-the-Park... someone said quite a few bands who agree to do V can't do Reading/Leeds because of their contract... but are still allowed to do T as it's in Scotland and quite a bit further away... and Move is shite, so they're not bothered about bands playing there...

'Move' is run by Virgin, actually...

I'm hoping Bowie adds V to his tour this year. UK tour rumoured for Septemeber.

Pixies will be on between 7PM and 9PM a reliable source in Mancland who went to last years move tells me. The festival has a 10:30PM curfew for the local residents.

They'll give the Stereophonics the 9 til 10.30pm slot. Bearing in mind there's usually a gap of 30 mins between bands (equipment and stuff), that might leave Pixies with a set length of 7 til 8pm.
