Dammit, now it looks like I capitulated, which wasn't supposed to be...
Ha, when I shop, I shop with my eyes not my wallet Mel. Unless we went to a record shop in which case I'd be well out of pocket. I say we go half way like Benji suggested, I've never actually been down to Portobello Road so if the weathers not too grotty it might be cool.
Kind regards, Simon Admissions |

if the weather is nice, then ok, well go to portobello road. But we CAN NOT go in to any record stores or clothes shops, or anything liek that, because, i will spend money. and once i shop i just cant stop.
We also will nto stay there for longer than 2 hours. preferably 1 hour.
Remember,this is WEATHER PERMITTING!!

Ach, you're so boring, live a little! [:D) Looks like I can stay for the evening now as well, but not too late. I don't want to catch the Pride lot going home! Rush hour has nothing on that...
That said, maybe I'd run into The Witter, which would make anyone's day complete!

it is really lame, if you were refering to my excuse... some friends asked if i wanted to play tennis with them. seeing as i get to experience about one social event with my friends a year, i didn't want to miss out, innit. |

Right, there's still time if anybody else wants to come - the more the merrier for absolutely sure. Don't be put off by the inane banter here. The details are: 12:15pm under the main train times board at Kings Cross Station. If you need to work out what you're looking for, try the Show Yourselves thread (I think Malax put a handy link to all of our pics somewhere on page 11).
I'll be online for another hour or so, so feel free to email me. Come on folks, don't be shy.

i'm leaving at 11.30, so i'm going to be a little late. but not by much.... will get to waterloo at 11.55, so might be able to get to kings cross in 20mins - depends on the trains.
i have mel's cell number if i'm going to be really late...
see ya soon.

Blimey Benj, Woolwich isn't that far out the way!
Had any thoughts about the entertainment? I've just noticed David Thomas and Two Pale Boys are playing @ the Spitz...

Seems I have the dubious honour of being first back, so I'd just like to take the opportunity to strenuously deny any accusations that may be made at any point in the future. Also, I don't want any of you to talk to me or touch me ever again.
There should be some pics soon, maybe we'll post them in the Show Yourselves thread so people won't ignore them. Don't expect any of Mike or Mel (camera-shy), especially of later on in the evening... (although you may be lucky).
Surreal as it is meeting these people that you kind of know but don't, you have no idea of how bizarre it is spending the day with them.

Benji, I know portobello isnt open on sunday...but camden is.
I dont know how many times I have to say that it is going to be SHIT weather, and that trapsing round london on a saturday (PRIDE weekenmd, might i add...) is NOT FUN.
If all else fails, me and bumble we go drinking and see you girls later.
I dunno bumble, they just arent as hardcore as us, are they? all this eating business, we proved last weekend minimal food is needed! hehe.
And how did you karaoke session of Turning japanese go!???
Just thought I'd throw that in there...
as you know, turning japanese went well, pulled it off. my gf said well done when i sat down. however when i sat down after doing white wedding (possibly iggy pop styleee) she just said "you shouldn't have done that, it wasn't so good"

had a fantastic weekend, thanks guys! was ace! thanks mel for organising it and thanks mike for sorting the hotel room and putting up with me, erm and looking after me last night! lol!
benji and cheeseman are lovely too. although cheeseman went a little evil after a couple of pints and punched me in the neck, a little harsh, all i said was that i didn't think hanson's second album was as good as their first!
and i can't fucking believe i got thrown out of the club for drinking water!
bring on the photo's!

yes, it was a very very fun weekend. saturday was total madness, with copious amounts of drinking and dubious activity afoot.
it was great to meet you all, and you're all very strange...especially you bumble. you were like a goddam leech when i went to leave on sat night...wouldn't let go of me...i had to wrench you off. it was all very sweet, but i don't think of you like that.....
i too cannot wait for the photos, but i am afraid that mel is going to censor them, which is going to be a real pity, and i will be VERY VERY disappointed with her if she does......

I most certainly will be censoring them!!! Mike took a picture of my tits, and if you thinkthats going on here, you can think again!!!
And actually, i got quite a few of mike, so theres plenty to see. lots of bumble as I remember, and some interesting ones of Cheesy in a hat. my hat.
Bumble - I cant believe you got us thrown out of the club!!!!!!!!
Just thought I'd throw that in there... |

It was very very very good. Despite the fact that benji kept pointing out record stores and book shops and making me want to spend money on things other than alcohol...
But yes. All ver nice guys. was pleasently surprised actually. was expecting at least one of them to be slightly creepy...but they werent. well, apart from mike, obviously - but that goes with out saying.
Bumble deciding that he knew all about picking up girls was VERY funny. And benjis accent rules. cheeseman has a beard. hehehe. beardy cheesy. sorta cheese gone mouldy.
Mike..mike is tall. and has a blue belt in kickboxing. lol.

yes mel, your hat was most definitely a star of the day.
but yes, we'll allow you to censor the tits one - but seriously, considering the top you were wearing, all the photos are gunna be of your tits.

What cheek!!!!!
It was a perfectly acceptable top! Its was just a black vest top type thing, and I had a shirt on too...It was perfectly accpetable!
If i was wearing a bloody nuns outfit youd probably still take pictures of my tits. And from what I remember, you were going to take a picture up my skirt!!!

I don't actually think that Cheeseman looks much like him at all, having looked at the picture again.
But anyway, it was really nice to meet you Cheesy and Benji. You are top guys, which was quite a relief. And of course it was great to be back with Bumble and Mel again after the weekend in Manchester.
Here are highlights:
The beer (everywhere except World's End) Chilli mayonnaise in Portobello The Italian restaurant in King's Cross The people (all of you) The laughs (we had a lot didn't we?) ???
Well there you go. No lies, no sarcasm, no wind-ups. I seem to be the first to manage that, post-meet-up, but I don't mind.
See you all again sometime soon(ish)(especially you Bumble, considering I live in the same city and go to the same club).

How am I particularly weird, considering you had Bumble there the whole time?
Good call with the Chilli Mayo Mike. All due respect to you people, but that made my weekend.
Heheh. I had a really good time, ta chaps and chappess. I'm not particularly inclined to believe that Simon was genuinely thrown out of a club for drinking water. The big girl, who goes to a pub and drinks water? I ask you.
Whens the next one? I guess its Brightons turn now, you people already did Manc. Ooh, maybe after that we can go to NZ!
Finally, it is true. Despite being comparatively sane (compared to Bumble and Mel), he is very rude... And Mike is actually not insane at all, which might come as a surprise to all who follow his posting...
